The GENE-U15B SBC features the Intel Atom Z5x0P Processors as well as the US15WP controller hub chipset which is well suited for industrial applications. This model can utilize a 200-pin DDR2 400/533 SODIMM up to 2GB in capacity for system memory. Operating system and Storage space can be accessed through the single SATA 3.0 Gb/s connector and an onboard SST SSD with a maximum of 4 GB. There is one Mini Card (Mini-PCI Express) slot and one LPC bus connector that offer flexibility to meet various application and expansion demands. With six USB ports, four COM ports, an 8-bit Digital I/O connector, and one Line-in/Line-out/Mic-in audio connector, GENE-U15B offers ample I/O ports, including keyboard and mouse port, onboard Gigabit Ethernet.

The GENE-U15B is a new slim-sized, fanless SBC of which the embedded computing market is in hot pursuit. It is only 146mm x 101.6mm in size, but is replete with features that the market requires for versatility and performance. Not only does it present multiple possibilities for system and instrumentation interfacing, the GENE-U15B also boasts 24-bit LVDS functionality that can be used simultaneously and in dual-view mode with the onboard analog CRT support. That combined with the low power consumption of the US15WP platform, the onboard 4/5/8-wire Resistive Touch Screen Controller, as well as industrial temperature options and this SBC is ideal for Industrial Automation, Transportation and Defense/ Government markets.

The default power requirement of the GENE-U15B is +12VDC, but as an option +5VDC only power requirement is available. Included with the embedded board is a PS/2 keyboard/mouse cable along with additional interface cables for USB, audio and serial ports for access to optional accessories. Also included are cables that can be used to interface the onboard 2-pin power connector to standard 4-pin power supply connectors of a PC.
